My Favorite Books from 2022
books worth adding to your 2023 reading list

Before I was a writer, I was a reader.Â
2022 was a big year of reading for me, as I enrolled in a spiritual formation program called Abide. So far, one of my favorite parts of the class has been the required reading list.Â
But because I’ve been reading so many spiritual formation books lately, I’ve learned to balance them with a bit of good fiction.Â
So, today friend, I’m sharing with you over on the blog my favorite books from 2022 that you can add to your reading list for 2023. They’re a mix of fiction and non-fiction with a memoir or two scattered throughout. I’m going to begin with my favorite non-fiction reads from this year, move into my favorite fiction reads, and then end with A Reader’s Prayer by John Baillie.
All the books I mention in today’s blog will be linked for you throughout the post to add to your Amazon cart if you so desire.Â

Thanks for your list of great books --- I have selected a few and ordered them from my library. I can definitely share your recommendation of "Sensible Shoes" by Sharon Garlough Brown.
Which character did you most identify with? I think I am a mixture of Hannah and Charissa.
I have attended a number of online and in person retreats with Sharon and they always inspire me and deepen my spiritual life. I would highly recommend this book and her retreats.
